Washer geometry, hardness, spring condition or bendability must be specified separately from alloy name. Bolt and nut strength classes are not washer grades.
Technical Selection & Standard Reference
DIN 434:2024-10 concerns square taper washers for U-sections; DIN 435:2024-10 concerns I-sections. Select the actual section and slope instead of treating the two designs as interchangeable.
A taper washer is not a flat square washer or a spherical seating system. Structural use requires the approved bolting and bearing-face specification.
A family reference is not a certificate for a supplied item. Legacy commercial references require agreement on the actual drawing and contractual specification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a DIN 434 taper washer the same as a DIN 435 washer?
No. The references concern different section types. Confirm the section slope, washer orientation and dimensions from the approved drawing.
