Choose Your Nut Type
Hex Nut
A six-sided regular nut for bolted joints requiring wrench access and a specified mating thread.
DIN 934 / ISO 4032
Lock Nut / Thin Jam Nut
A thin hexagon jam nut used with a suitable regular or high nut in a properly specified locking arrangement.
DIN 439-2 / ISO 4035
Nylon Insert Lock Nut (Nylock Nut)
A prevailing-torque nut with a non-metallic insert that resists rotation on the mating thread.
DIN 985 commercial reference / ISO 10511
Dome Nut / Acorn Nut
A capped hexagon nut that covers the exposed end of a bolt or stud.
DIN 1587 high-type cap nut
Wing Nut
A winged nut for joints requiring hand adjustment and frequent access.
DIN 315
Eye Nut
A threaded eye nut for a lifting or attachment arrangement selected to an approved specification.
DIN 582 lifting eye nut
Square Nut
A four-sided nut for assemblies designed around a square seating profile.
DIN 557
Heavy Hex Nut
A heavy-pattern hexagon nut for assemblies requiring the specified larger hex geometry and material grade.
ASME B18.2.2; ASTM A194/A194M or A563 as specified
Weld Nut
A weldable threaded nut designed to be attached to sheet or fabricated components using an approved welding process.
DIN 929 hexagon weld nut
Flange Nut
A hexagon nut with an integral flange that distributes the seating load over a larger bearing area.
DIN 6923 legacy reference / ISO 4161
Coupling Nut
An elongated threaded nut used to join compatible threaded rods or studs in a designed assembly.
DIN 6334 commercial reference; ASME B18.2.2 inch reference
Castle Nut
A slotted or castellated hexagon nut used with a specified pin-retention arrangement on a drilled mating fastener.
DIN 935-1
Rivet Nut
A blind-installed threaded insert for creating an internal thread in suitable sheet or hollow sections.

Stainless steel & special-alloy grade enquiries
State the exact material grade in your RFQ. The following are enquiry options, not a stock list or certification claim. Suitability, manufacturing route and availability require confirmation for this nut design.
| Material requested | Technical information to confirm |
|---|---|
| SS 304 / 304L | Exact material specification; stainless nut grade and strength class where applicable. |
| SS 316 / 316L | Corrosion environment, specified material and required mechanical properties. |
| SS 310 / 310S | Exact grade, service temperature and mechanical requirements; no automatic high-temperature approval. |
| SS 904L | Stainless steel grade request; corrosion environment and applicable product/test specification. |
| HASTELLOY family | Exact alloy designation, material specification and certificate requirements. |
| Alloy 20 | Exact specification, service environment and product-form requirements. |
| MONEL family | Exact alloy designation and required mechanical/product specification. |
| INCONEL family | Exact alloy designation, service temperature and product/test specification. |
ISO 3506-2 stainless nut designations and property classes are separate from commercial SS grade names. Do not infer nut proof load from “SS 304” or “SS 316”, or copy bolt classes such as 8.8/10.9 onto a nut specification. Carbon/alloy steel requests need their own specified nut grade and mechanical requirements.

Thread, Standard & Grade — Specify Separately
The nut type sets the geometry and function. A dimensional standard does not by itself establish material grade, strength, lifting capacity, weldability or installation performance. Specify metric pitch or inch TPI, the exact product standard/drawing and the appropriate material and test requirements.
For nylon-insert, eye, weld and rivet nuts, also provide the insert operating conditions, approved lifting configuration, welding procedure or installation/grip-range details respectively.
