ISO 3506-2 stainless nut designations and property classes are separate from commercial SS grade names. Do not infer nut proof load from “SS 304” or “SS 316”, or copy bolt classes such as 8.8/10.9 onto a nut specification. Carbon/alloy steel requests need their own specified nut grade and mechanical requirements.

DIN 6334 is a common metric hexagon-coupling-nut commercial reference; ASME B18.2.2 includes inch hexagon coupling nuts. Specify length and thread system rather than ordering by diameter alone.
